5 - 6 years
What better way can we employ to build up the youngsters
vocabulary than by drawing on their still extremely playful
nature.
A few examples:
- Lots of English songs and nursery rhymes incorporate useful
everyday expressions and vocabulary. The children unconsiously
acquire this language while playing different roles and
being physically activated.
- After choosing a topic that appeals to the children, e.g.
"Pirates", "Dinosaurs", etc., we draw,
colour or make appropriate figures and then use them for
retelling stories, for a song or for role play.
Depending on their ability to integrate into a group, we
also take four-year-olds.
